Azumino Momen (roll)

We produce thick cotton fabric woven in Japan in small batches using traditional handcrafting methods by artisans.
The fabric was barrel dyed at low temperatures, slowly and carefully, to create the wrinkled look and texture that gives it its unique character.
The wrinkles (creased texture) that are characteristic of the fabric have been specially treated so they will not come off even after washing.
Although there are many mass-produced fabrics today, we hope that our customers will be able to experience the quality of cotton, which develops a unique character the more it is used. Please enjoy this high-quality cotton fabric that expresses the scenery of Azumino, where time flows gently.
The color lineup is rich with 30 colors, focusing on colors that evoke the Japanese atmosphere that artisans have been particular about. The calm colors are known for their excellent combination with antique fabrics.
